Shirley Gaver Obituary
Shirley Ann Gaver, age 73, of West Carrollton, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born October 9, 1944 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Ben and Edith (Williams) Gilreath.
Shirley worked for many years as a server at several area restaurants including Red Lobster on Wilmington Pike. She is remembered for her strong Christian faith and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed traveling throughout the southern states with her family, admiring the beautiful mountains and beaches.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Tony) Shockey of West Carrollton, OH and Sharon (Terry) Shockey of Madison Heights, VA. Most of all, Shirley adored being 'Grandma' to her grandchildren; Shannon Gaver, Jessica Autajay and Paige Shockey, and great grandchildren; Nathan, Haley, Wyatt, Brooke and Isiah.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 10, 2018 at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane in Kettering with visitation one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens in Xenia. Online condolences may be shared at www.morris-sons.com.
