Mildred Grace Frazee

Mildred G. Frazee, age 92, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away on June 4th in Orlando, Florida.

She was born in October of 1927 in West Virginia to the late Matthew John Tilden & Mary J. (Runner) Fitzwater, and was the youngest of their 11 children. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Jane (Frazee) Russell and son, Michael Grant Frazee; son-in-law, Gorden Russell; daughter-in-law, Rose (Meyer) Frazee; and two grandchildren, Matthew Arnold Frazee and Amy Grant Frazee as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Grant, in 1992. Also preceding her in death were her ten siblings, Ira Fitzwater, Willie Fitzwater, Opal (Fitzwater) Shook, Howard Fitzwater, Eva (Fitzwater) Elsass, Gaye (Fitzwater) Moore, twin brothers Roy Fitzwater and Troy Fitzwater, and twin sisters, Lessie (Fitzwater) Barton, Bessie (Fitzwater) Shahan.

As a very young girl, Mildred witnessed the years of the depression and the struggles of her family following her father’s death, ultimately resulting in their move from West Virginia to Greenville, Ohio. It was in Greenville where she first met her husband, Grant, at the local movie theater, where she was a cashier and he was the manager.

Mildred lived in Fairborn, Ohio until moving to Florida in 2014 to be cared for by her son and daughter-in-law. She was a long-time member of Fairborn United Methodist Church, was an amazing seamstress and a dedicated member and past president of the Fairborn Garden Club.    Services are 11:00 am Tuesday June 9th, 2020 at with Morris Sons Funeral Home, Fairborn,  Family will receive friend Monday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, with Pastor Rob Wackerman officiating .
