Pickle, Melva “Marlene”, 81 of Dayton passed away September 9, 2020 at Carriage Inn of Dayton. Marlene married the late Albert “Butch” Pickle in 1959 and they raised their two sons in Riverside, Ohio before relocating to Indian Lake in 2001. Marlene is survived by her sons Robert (Pamela) Pickle, Michael (Andrea) Pickle, brother William(Charlene) Wolfe, sister Fredricka (Bruce) Kishler, sister-in-law Beverly Morneault and several nieces and nephews. She was blessed with four grandchildren Justin (Sarah) Pickle, Erin (Adam) Packard, Stacey (Michael) Murphy, Anna (Jeremy) Lesch and eight great-grandchildren. Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband Albert in 2016, her mother Elizabeth Wolfe and father Robert Crothers.
Marlene enjoyed working at Children’s Medical Center for 30+ years in various positions before retiring in 2004. She loved listening to music, singing and her daily Coke.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Carriage Inn for the wonderful care given to our mom during her stay. Special thanks to Tim one of her favorite nurses that could always get her to eat, sing or joke.
Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:30 am. Please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
