Martha J. Apple

Martha Jane Apple, 100, resident of Bethany Village in Centerville, OH, passed away on November 13, 2016. She was the daughter of the late William A. Apple Sr. and Jessie I. Apple. Martha graduated from Steele HS and earned a 2 year teaching degree from Wittenberg University. She began her teaching career in Miamisburg, OH and completed her education with a B.A. In Education from the University of Dayton. Martha resumed teaching in Kettering before advancing to administration in the Kettering School system. She spent 35 years in teaching and administration. She was also VP and Treasurer of the W.A. Apple Manufacturing Co. Her brother Bill preceded her in death as well as her dear friend Mary L. Karstaedt. She leaves behind her caregiver Ann Walkup and friends Shirley Snyder, Bill McCoy, Barb and Bob Mittman, Mabel Laurio and Scott Osler.
