Marrietta (Hart) Gentry

MARRIETTA GENTRY, age 92, of Kettering, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Rockcastle County, KY to the late Wm. Riley and Julia (Payne) Hart. Those who knew Marrietta recognized her soft heart for all dogs. She loved tending to the flowers in her garden. 

In addition to her parents, Marrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Loys “Jack” Gentry; sisters, Loneva Sauder and Peggy Hart; brothers, Jimmy, John and Dewey Hart. 
She is survived by her sons, Timothy, Jerry and Steven Gentry; grandchildren, Zackary, Alex and Evan; sisters, Billie Sweet and Theata (Bobby) Bullock; brother, Ted (Emma) Hart; and a host of loved nieces, nephews and extended family. 

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1771 E. Dorothy Ln, Kettering, OH 45429 with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Rob Wackerman will be officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral service, in procession, to Miami Valley Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marrietta’s honor to any local charity benefitting the welfare of animals. Online condolences may be left at Morris-Sons.com.
