Katherine Marie Quedenfeld Lyons, age 31, went home to be present with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 18, 2021, following a brief illness at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Katherine spent the beginning 7 years of her life in Georgia and has resided in Ohio for most of the remainder of her life. Katherine graduated from Beavercreek High School in 2007. She was currently employed as a telemarketing lead with Adecco in Dublin, Ohio. She loved music, karaoke singing, choir, reading, board and arcade games, video gaming, horseback riding, animals of all kinds, especially otters and cats. She was an accomplished gymnast and trampolinist. She was an avid swimmer and had a smile that would light up a room. Those left to cherish her memories and to miss her joy, her love of life, her energy, and her singing “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” will be: her parents, Bethanne (Everett) Blake and Judd (Fran) Quedenfeld. Her aunts and uncles: Arthur Townsend, Patricia Yeater, Jeff (Sally) Quedenfeld and Joan (Jim) Smith. Brother: Ricky Alarcon and his Uncle Jason. Extended family: Ty (Allison) French, Kathleen (Christopher) Waits, Adam French as well as numerous cousins, their children and special friend, Jason May. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Louis (Marjorie) Quedenfeld and Leo (Anne) Townsend. Katherine has shared the gift of life with tissue and organ donations through Lifeline of Ohio. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, April 26, 2021 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering with Pastor Paul Pyle officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery, Beavercreek. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
