Obituary for Julia Tolliver – Service 12/23/20
On December 18, 2020 Julia Hale Tolliver, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 82. Julia was born in Jenkins, Kentucky on August 23, 1938 to Jesse and Sophie Hale. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Berea College in Kentucky. Julia was married to James E. Tolliver on May 5, 1962 and moved to Fairborn where they raised two daughters. Julia was a teacher for 30 years at Tecumseh High School where she taught classes in sewing, cooking, and marriage and family. Julia was an extremely talented seamstress and enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafting and gardening. She loved her flowers, and they loved her. She was strong in her faith and steadfast in her belief in the Lord. Her family was her passion. She found immeasurable joy just being with her grandchildren and counted it as the most precious blessing in her life. She was strong and funny and always found a way to lift up others when they needed it. She was simply an amazing person. Julia was survived by her daughters, Jenny Tolliver Boney (Doug Boney) and Jessica Tolliver Smith, as well as her grandchildren, Shelby MacGregor, Rees Williams, Sierra Boney and Kayla Smith. Julia was preceded in death by her husband James E. Tolliver.  Family will receive friends 11:00-1:00 Wednesday December 23 , 2020 at Morris Sons Funeral Home , 104 W Main St Fairborn .  Graveside services 1:30pm at Byron Cemetery.  Condolences may be sent to morris-sons.com
