Joyce Hunt Winkelman

WINKELMAN, Joyce Hunt, longtime resident of Beavercreek Twp, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky to the late Ollie and Alice (Boggess) Swarts.

Joyce was a faithful and supportive mother. She was gifted with great strength, fairness, and a generous heart. She always enjoyed a competitive card game with family and friends, and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Hunt, Sr.; second husband, George Winkelman, Jr.; son, Michael Hunt; daughter, Marybeth (Hunt) Bosarge; sister, Rhoda Throckmorton, and grandson, George Winkelman IV.

Joyce is deeply loved and will be missed by her cherished surviving son, Roy (Becky) Hunt, Jr.; stepdaughter, Diane Pressel; stepson, George Winkelman, III; 6 grandchildren, Rick (Becky) Hunt, David (Patti) Hunt, Tom (Trisha) Friend, Terry (Becky) Friend, Tracey (Bart) Willingham, and Lorrie Montoya; great grandchildren, Kyra, Aubrey, Karley, TJ (Jen), Mahaley, CJ, Colin, Jasmine and Amira; great-great grandson, Felix; special nephew, E. Ray (Donna) Throckmorton; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and relatives.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 30, 2020 at Morris Sons Funeral Home in Kettering with Rev. Sherry Gale officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Beaver Cemetery in Greene County. Facial coverings will be required for all guests in attendance.
