Bradley, Jerry Addison, age 79, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021. He fought the good fight.
He is survived by his wife, Josefine, of 56 years, daughter, Heike Patterson, son, Mark (Amber) Bradley, as well as, four grandchildren, Joshua Patterson, Danielle Patterson, Kaitlin Bradley, Conner Bradley, and one great-grandchild, Alexander Patterson. He is also survived by his sister, Dana (Danny) Wood, and nieces, nephews, and cousins in Michigan and Germany. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Bernita Bradley, and sister Glenda (Bob) Yeager.
Jerry was born in Port Huron, MI and joined the USAF in 1960, where he served all over the world, including Germany, where he met his wife, Josefine. He served a year in Vietnam during the TET offensive and received several awards and decorations for his service. He retired from the Air Force in 1982. He also worked for the Fairborn City Schools and then retired again, from Defense Electronic Supply Center.
Bicycling was his passion that he found later in life, he also loved fishing, boating, barbecuing, and spending time with those he loved and met over his lifetime.
Family will receive friends Friday, March 19, from 5-6 pm at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 104 W. Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio. A short service will follow at 6:00 pm. Private services at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
