Brainard, Delores Bell

 Age 88, departed to be with our Lord on Monday, January 25, 2021.  She was born in Newport, Kentucky to the late Sadie (Rose) and Burt Connelly. She is also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law: Essie and Wayne Brainard, sisters; Stella Connelly, Mary Risner, Bertha Knox, a brother: Wayne Connelly, a daughter Vickie Day, daughter-in-law: Irene Lackey, grandsons: Tommy and John Blakeman; and a granddaughter Rachel Kaczynski. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Charles R. "Rod" Brainard, children; Robert Lackey, Lucille (Leonard) Kaczynski, Gail Vlahos, Tammy (Jeff) Barton, Shelly (Dave) Dixon, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren along with her canine friend: Buddy. Delores leaves behind many loving memories. She enjoyed going out to eat with her husband, visiting friends, family gatherings, 4th of July cookouts, comedy shows, watching old movies and "Dancing with the Stars", Hollywood gossip and Elvis. She was everyone’s everything; A loving wife, mother and a true friend. She had a laugh that could light up the room, a beautiful smile and a warm heart. She brought joy and happiness to her entire family and her many lifelong friends. Her memory will live on in our hearts until we meet again. Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 E.
