Casper G. "Cap" Koogler, 85, son of the late Archie & Ethel E. (Sidenstick) Koogler died early on Sept. 6, 2021. He was born in Osborn, Ohio. Cap and Barbara A. Forsyth were married on Oct. 15, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. They were married for 51 years. They had three children: James G. (Lisa) Koogler, David W. Koogler (deceased) (Nancy) Koogler and Sue Ann (Charlie) Jones. Cap was predeceased by 1/2 brother Kermit Koogler and 1/2 sister Katharine Koogler Hunt and 1/2 brother Paul Meese. Cap’s other siblings who predeceased him were Milo Koogler, Goldie Coblentz Smith, Fonnie Koogler, Ezra Koogler, Berdelia Koogler Wagner, Archie Koogler and Sylvia Koogler Forsyth. His sister Grace Koogler Croutcher survives him. Cap’s companion, Joy Donathan will miss him greatly. Surviving grandchildren are Davy Koogler, Kristina Koogler, Adam J. (Pantea Tehrani) Koogler, Carman Jones, Amy E. Koogler (Nate Patrick), Jonathan (Morghan) Jones and Gabriel Jones. Surviving great grandchildren are Chris Wroten, Michael Wroten, Donald Koogler, Juliet Pauley, David Jerome Koogler, Jada Koogler, MacKay Jones, Bentley Jones, Alifair Jones, Cyrus Koogler, baby boy Jones. There is one great-great granddaughter Hazel August Sue Wroten. There are many other relatives and friends that will miss Cap. Cap worked at Universal Atlas Cement Co. for about 21 years. After they closed the plant he went to work for Sherman Tool & Die Co. for about 23 years. Cap and his family loved camping during the Ft. Recovery, Oh. tractor pulls. He also loved to go fishing and tend to his flower beds. A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St. Fairborn, OH. Family will receive relatives and friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Byron Cemetery. Donation may be made to the American Heart Association.
