Caroline Elizabeth (Zimmer) Schutz

Schutz, Caroline Elizabeth, 85, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Kettering Ohio, passed away peacefully in her apartment at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville with her family at her side. She is preceded in death by her husband Richard W Schutz, her parents Charles and Fannie  (Younce) Zimmer, her sister Catherine Crossen, her brothers John Zimmer, Pete Zimmer, Bob Zimmer, and her granddaughter Carrie Schutz, nephew Robby Zimmer and niece Sherry Zimmer.  She is survived by her children Linda Green (Dennis Green), Thomas Schutz,  beloved nieces and nephews Sharon Crossen, John Zimmer, Bobby Gene Zimmer, Sandy Hazen, Kathy Jackson, Michael Zimmer, Patti Zimmer, Debbie Danielson, Becky Blauser and Mindy Blackford and her cherished grandchildren Shannon Schutz, Joshua Schutz, Joe Schutz, Diane Hunt, Vince Green, and her 13 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren.  Throughout her life, Caroline loved the time she spent with her family and friends.  She enjoyed her church work at Prince of Peace, and she was especially proud of the work she did with COB District Children and Education Committee. She was recognized as doing such a great job. She worked as an office manager for 20 years at a physician office and she volunteered at Kettering hospital. She enjoyed crafts, gardening and watching it grow, cooking and loved watching her bird feeders and the creatures who visited. She also loved going on vacation with Dad to Myrtle Beach, but camping was always the favorite vacation and weekend adventures.

The family would like to thank the Greenville Brethren Retirement staff who took such wonderful care of Caroline.  Especially Pastor Todd, Shirley, Nicole, Tonya, Kathy, Katie Lou, Melinda,  Cathy, and Rachel, she loved and appreciated you all.  We don't have all the names but thank you too. When we were unable to visit during the pandemic you took such good care of our Mom. Thank You.
