Annabelle Kocher Obituary

KOCHER, Annabelle V. Kocher “Annie,” faithful wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother “Nana,” peacefully joined the good lord on March 25th, 2021. She was in the loving presence of her daughter Dea and son-in-law, Fred . Annabelle was born in Lithopolis, Ohio, on November 7th 1921. The second born of Viola and Lawrence Snyder of Lithopolis, Ohio. Annabelle graduated from Bliss Business College in Columbus, Ohio. Following graduation, she worked at Francis H. Leggett & Company in Columbus. Annabelle was also an employee at Bendix-Westinghouse Company in Elyria, Ohio, for several years after her marriage in 1944 to her husband, Dr. Ralph Kocher.  Annabelle and Ralph began their life together and started a family in Fairborn, Ohio, where they were longtime residents since 1946. They founded Towne and Country Animal Clinic on Broad Street. Following her husband’s passing, Annabelle volunteered with First-grade classes for several years and with Kindergarten classes for eleven years in the Fairborn City Schools. Her greatest love was working with children and taking care of her beautiful family, home, and garden. She was blessed by and cherished her relationships with her wonderful friends. Annabelle was a member of Aero Chapter OES #536, Fairborn Republican Women’s Club, Delta Gamma Mother’s Club, Dayton Women’s Club, Trinity United Church of Christ, Cox Arboretum, Fairborn Area Chamber of Commerce and former member of Fairborn Lioness Club where she brought both joy and leadership.

Loved ones who will miss Annabelle are her daughter Deanne Raizk, son-in-law Fred Raizk, son Dr. David Kocher, daughter-in-law, Teri Kocher, five grandchildren: Aimee Khan, Lisse Roy and spouse Chris Roy, Kristen Neace and spouse Brandon Neace, Gretchen Kocher, Brian Kocher and spouse Amanda Kocher. Fourteen great-grandchildren: Zakkary Sharp, Javed Khan, Maliah Khan, Mikhail Khan, Luke Davis, Catherine Roy, Conner Roy, Tommy Roy, Cydney Roy, Kali Jackson, Bradley Jackson, Blake Neace, Alec Neace, Ayden Kocher and her newly celebrated great-great granddaughter, Alisa Jackson.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 2nd at Trinity United Church Of Christ, 821 N. Central Ave, Fairborn, OH 45324. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery, 3256 Trebein Rd, Fairborn.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions can be made to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Cancer Research Center.
