Wanda Lee Priest

Wanda Lee (Delp) Priest, age 90 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017. Born in 1927 to Walter and Ruth (Good) Delp. Wanda enjoyed family, sewing and Bible Study. She baked the best Christmas cookies and fixed you a special lunch when you came to visit. She kept old photo albums and would tell the best stories of days gone by, so much you didn't mind hearing them again and again. Wanda brought a smile to your face and warmed your heart when you saw her. She was such a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She can now be with the ones she has missed so and rejoice with them as they wait for us to come home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Priest; her parents, Walter & Ruth L. Delp; her brother, Donald Delp and special friend, Melna Priest. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Edward) Christy; son, Dale Priest, brother Owen (Armetha) Delp and special friend Debby; grandchildren, Tammy (Matthew) Marvin, Tricia Williams, Amie (Daniel) Moore, and James Kelly (Griselda) Priest; great grandchildren, Caila & Cole Marvin, Zachery & Nicholas Williams, Hadley (Chris) Parfenchuk, Connor & Adelyn Soderquist and Michael & David Priest; many nieces & nephews and oldest and dearest friend Beatrice Smart and special friends, Eric & Susie Watne. Many thanks to her favorite doctor, Manisha Nanda and her staff and the awesome caregivers of Hospice of Dayton. Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane Kettering, OH. Pastor Daniel Moore officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial to follow service at Bear-Creek Hillgrove Cemetery.
