Vickey Comer Obituary
Vickey L. Comer, age 59, resident of Dayton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton. She fought a long and courageous battle against cancer for over two years. She was born August 17, 1958 to Paul and Pauline (Feltner) Cummings.
As a mother, Vickey worked hard to support her son and loved ones. She always cherished the time she got to spend with her family. All of the holidays were special when they were hosted by Vickey but her favorite was Christmas. She made the summers special, too, with her cookouts and celebrations.
In addition to her parents, Vickey is survived by her son, Marvin (Jillian) Schroeder; stepson, Adam (Nicole) Comer; stepdaughter, Corrie Owens; honorary son, Brian (Rebecca) Overholser; brother, Steve (Tonya) Cummings; sister, Paula (Matt) Priest; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Vickey was a loving grandma to the joys of her life; Elijah and Braylon Schroeder; Gretchen, Andy and August Comer; Aidan and Ava Overholser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Comer, and sister, Connie Ludington.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Morris Sons Funeral Home in Kettering with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until 12 noon, prior to the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be at David's Cemetery following the funeral service.
