Carolyn Illo Goff

Goff, Carolyn Illo, age 91, Peacefully transitioned from this life to her heavenly home April 13, 2017 with her granddaughter Jenny by her side. Carolyn was born May 13, 1925 in St. Charles, Virginia, home of her cherished grandma, Mother Barker (Rebecca). She was daughter of the late Kermit Q. and Nettie Lee Barker Wacks. Carolyn attended Washington College prior to her marriage. She and her late ex-husband Abby Goff moved to Dayton 70 years ago. Carolyn worked almost 20 years at The Keyhole Restaurant. She raised five children on her own, managing to purchase her own home which was her pride and joy! She was preceded in death by twin sons: Gene & Eugene Goff, one sister Clement Davis, and two brothers Chalmers & Sonny Wacks. She is survived by three daughters, Sue Carol Jones (Charles), Patricia Jean Goff (her special needs Angel), Teresa Lee Battista (Carl) and two sons, Donn Quinton Goff (Joyce) and Ronn Eugene Goff (Maribel), one sister Suzanne Chinouth, seven grandchildren: Jenny (Derek) Dreischarf, Jeff (Molly) Jones, Lauren (Bryan) Kendall, Kevin Goff & fiance' Morgan, Dex (Alex) Battista, Natalie Battista & Mackenzie, Alexys Goff, and nine great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm, Friday, April 21, at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering. A service will be held 9:30 am, Saturday, April 22 at the funeral home.
