Brooks T. Kirkland

Kirkland, Brooks T. age 71 of Xenia, Ohio passed away Friday January 26, 2018. Born in LaFollette, TN on April 7, 1946, the son of Clifford & Dorothy Mae Kirkland. Brooks graduated from the University of Dayton with a degree in Criminal Justice, which led to a 27 year career with the Dayton Police Dept., retiring as a lieutenant. Preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Dorothy. He is survived by his wife Dixie, sons Chris, Stephen and wife Tammy, Tim and wife Debbie, Joseph Luckoski and wife Karen, and daughter Casie Ann Schweller and husband Mike. Grandchildren Chris, Chelsea, Alexis, Alyssa, Josh, Alexandra, and Cole. Great Grandchildren William, John, Payton, Isabelle, Alayna, and Noelle. Fur Babies Tucker, Boomer, Jack, and Rigsby. Upon retirement, he fulfilled his passions for Nascar racing, following the Washington Redskins, fishing, chewing tobacco, working on the farm, playing with his grandchildren, and an occasional gin and tonic. But above all else, he cherished a union and marriage that has lasted 40 yrs with his crazy ER nurse Dixie. Funeral Services will be held, Tuesday Jan. 30, 2018 7:00 pm at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 E. Dorothy Lane Kettering, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 4 - 7 before service.
