Martha "Martie" Lee (Cunningham) Darner

Martha "Martie" Lee Darner, (Cunningham), age 93, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away in Rancho Mirage California on Friday, November 24, 2017 and is being laid to rest at a graveside service at 11:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2019 at St. Paul's Cemetery in Yellow Springs, Oh. 

Martie was born in 1924 in Valentine, Nebraska. Her family, including 6 sisters, later moved to Loudonville, Ohio. During World War II, Martie moved to Dayton, Ohio working until meeting Thomas Darner, whom she married November 6, 1948. Tom and Martie raised four children, Michael, Larry, Debra, and Kenneth Darner, on a farm near Fairborn. In 1971, Martie joined Pat Kneisley Realty in Fairborn, and later, the Roth Gallery of Homes until 1999. Martie belonged to the Altar Society, Greene County Farm Bureau, sewing and card clubs, and was known as a fun, generous friend.

Martie is preceded in death by her husband, son Kenneth, and step granddaughter Jody Walker. Survivors include sister Barbara Zicko of S Windsor Ct, children, Michael Darner of Palm Springs, CA, Larry, Carol Darner of Piqua, Ohio, Debra, Bob Baltes of Indian Wells, Ca, grandchildren, Mathew, Christopher, Mage Baltes, step-grandchildren, Candi Williams, Jamie Shea, and 8 great and step great-grandchildren.
