Marlin C. Norfleet age 83 passed away peacefully at his home after a lengthy illness on November 27th 2018. He was born in Somerset Kentucky in 1935, the son of Estel and Louer Norfleet, one of 8 brothers and sisters. Marlin is survived by his wife of 56 years: Sheena Norfleet along with daughters: Tracy Mort and Lynn Seitz, Grandchildren: Stacey Graham, Jonathan Seitz, and Nicholas Seitz, 2 Great Grandsons: Tyler and Elijah Graham. Marlin is also survived by his siblings: Earl Norfleet, Lucille Sizemore Jim and Bobby Cundiff, and many nieces and nephews. Marlin was preceded in death by his brothers: Eddie and Charles Norfleet and sisters: Ruth Demastus and Pauline Hill. Marlin had long careers at the Dayton Tire and Rubber Company, then at Vernay Laboratories in Yellow Springs, until retirement in 2000. Marlin proudly served in the United States Navy between 1959 – 1967 as a Maintenance Engineer at Holy Loch Scotland, where he met his wife Sheena. Marlin was stationed to Memphis TN, and then after his service, moved his family to Dayton, OH where he resided for the rest of his days. He was a great sports enthusiast, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed University of Kentucky Basketball. Marlin will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 1771 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering OH with Pastor Brian Newell officiating.
