Joyce Barbara (Cento) Skaggs

Joyce Barbara Skaggs, of Chesterfield, Missouri, passed in Dayton, Ohio with her daughters at her side on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the age of 75. 

Joyce was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from St Joseph’s Academy.  Over the course of her career, she served as Executive Administrative Assistant to the St. Louis County Executive for more than 30 years.  Joyce then served in the same capacity in Washington D.C. for the Director of Immigration and Naturalization Services, under President George H.W. Bush.  Upon her return to St. Louis, she was Executive Administrative Assistant to the President of Macy’s Department Stores.

Joyce B. Skaggs was the beloved wife of the late William Ancel Skaggs, and is survived by her daughters Cheryl Kingsfield Neal and Michelle Ann Kingsfield, sisters Delores Elizabeth Cento and Linda Joan Eberle and grand children Megan Ashley Neal, Ryan Kingsfield Neal, Casey Robert Edgerley and Robert Kingsfield Edgerley.   

Visitation time and date is pending at Schrader Funeral Home, 14690 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Missouri, followed by a brief chapel ceremony.  

As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
