James E. Leach

LEACH, James E. "Jim", age 95, of Kettering, formerly of Fairborn and Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019.  He was born in Wellston, Ohio to the late Harold E. and Iva K. (Marsh) Leach. 

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by loving wife of 68 years, Mary E (Dowell) Leach who passed earlier this year; daughter, Ann Marie Leach; sister, Donise Thomas; and brothers, Glendon and Eldon Leach. Jim is survived by his daughter,  Lee (Richard) Peddicord of Lexington, KY; granddaughter, Kerstin Kjelby; great granddaughters, Irene and Ashley; sister, Betty Lou Pontisso; brother, Donald Leach; along with many relatives and friends.

Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star decoration. He and his wife, Mary operated their business, J & M Electric, for over 30 years. Jim will be remembered and celebrated for his conservative, quiet demeanor so uniquely paired with his dry wit. 

A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Morris Sons Funeral Home 1771 East Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH.  Online condolences may be left at Morris-sons.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's honor may be made to any charity of donor's choice.
