Keyton, Jr, Howard age 91 of Kettering, went to his heavenly home on September 14, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents Violet (Hill) and Howard Keyton, Sr., wife Myra Jean (Clemmer) Keyton, son Ray, grandsons, Jacob Castor and Benjamin Keyton. Survived by daughter & son-in-law: Lynn & Dennis Castor, daughter-in-law Janet, grandson Aaron (Karina), granddaughters Maggie Castor and Abbey Keyton, great-grandchildren Coby, Carly, Kainnon, Logan, Brayden, Itzel, Bailey, Lenor and Jax. He was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School where he also met his future wife, Myra Jean. After high school he entered the Army Air Corp and began training at Clemson University, the war ended before his training was completed. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Mechanical Engineer degree. He began his career at DP&L in 1950 and retired in 1982 as the Head of Engineering. Howard loved to travel around the world, even to Antarctica. He enjoyed many vacations and cruises with his family. He and Myra were founding members of Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering where they remained lifelong members. Howard was a friend to everyone and maintained close relationships through the years. He will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial to follow at Beaver Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to SICSA or Humane Society of Greater Dayton. Arrangements entrusted to MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME Kettering.
