Gregory Allen Sargent

Gregory Allen Sargent, 54, of Kettering, Ohio passed peacefully in his sleep on December 27, 2018 at his residence. Greg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Laura & Clayton Sargent; maternal grandparents, Ruth Stapleton & Walter Davis; Aunt Barbara Fridley and Uncle Charles Davis. He was born in 1964 and is survived by his mother, Theresa (Don) Welz of Kettering, Ohio; Father, Robert (Kris) Sargent of Lehigh Acres, Florida; sisters, Darlene (Robert) Hunt, Jeannette Southwood both of Kettering, Ohio, Jennifer Sargent of Lafayette, Indiana and brothers, Michael (Kim) Sargent of Kettering, Ohio & Jason (Nikki) Sargent of Lafayette, Indiana; step-siblings, Mary (Doug) Ramn of Centerville and Donnie (Becky) Welz of Dayton, Ohio.He is also survived by daughters, Melisa Kerns and Heather Sargent of Dayton, Ohio;  4 grandchildren, Jeremy, Bradyn, Cameron & KK Kerns; Aunts, Laurie Cordle & Sandy Davis, Uncle Dale Fridley; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, cousins and special friends. Greg, better known as Hershel by his work family, was employed as a ride supervisor with Triple Treat Shows for 20 years, traveling and bringing joy to others through his work. He is fondly remembered as a humble man with a great affection for his family, dogs and a talent for cooking, especially his infamous lasagna recipe. Greg, best known for his compassionate heart, quietly generous nature, and unique personality, will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Family will receive friends 10-11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Morris Sons Funeral Home 1771 E.
