Marie Hounshell

Hounshell, Marie, age 84 formerly of Dayton, daughter of Jerome and Katherine Lamons, passed away peacefully, Saturday November 12. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, June. She retired from the City of Dayton in 2001 as a Relocation Specialist. A 1950 graduate of Roosevelt High School, she received her BS in Business from Urbana University in 1998 at the age of 66. Marie loved to travel and spending time with family. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Schran (Rick), Kay Cox (Larry), Joyce Lobo (Ashley), and Susan Riekens (Mark), ten grandchildren, Jenni, Liz, Lee, Erin, Brian, Joey, Dana, Matthew, Anthony, and Rachel and six great-grandchildren. Services will be in the care of Morris Funeral Home, Kettering, OH. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with services immediately following. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the charity of your choice in Marie's memory.
