Marian Dee Sanderson

Marian Dee Sanderson, age 96, of Fairborn, Ohio and Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully in the home of her family. Marian (Hazel Dee) was born in Columbus, Ohio, but was raised in Winston Salem, NC. She moved to Miami, Florida after college where she met the love of her life, Harold Lee Sanderson (founder of Sanderson Insurance). They were married for 69 years before he passed in 2012. She was an active member of the Fairborn community and Trinity United Church of Christ. She worked for many years as an assistant to the vice-principal at Fairborn High School where she especially enjoyed interacting with the students. Marian was devoted to her family and is survived by her son, Richard Sanderson (Kaye), daughter, Deborah Sanderson Walker (Charles); grandchildren, Deanne Fisher (Shannon), Angela Walker, David Sanderson (Kara), Reed Walker, Austin Walker, and Morgan Grace Walker; great-children, Tyler Boyer, Trevor Boyer, Tanner Boyer, Reagen Fisher, Kyran Sanderson, Patrick Sanderson, Everett Sanderson, and Thomas Sanderson; great-great-granddaughter, Payton Boyer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 2, at Morris Sons Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Fairborn, Ohio. Pastor Gene Cline officiating. Visitation will be 10-11:00 before the service.
