On Friday, October 6, 2017, Jeri Ann Brewer, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at age 41. She was born August 10th, 1976 in Xenia, Ohio to her parents Jerry and Patricia. Jeri graduated Fairborn high school and went on to attend Creative Images of Fairborn to obtain her cosmetology license. She married her high school sweet heart, Jason Leister, and had two wonderful children Jaidon and Riley Leister. She longed to live this domestic life with her family whom she loved deeply, however life took a detour and her struggle with the disease of addiction began. Jeri would never want to be defined only by her mistakes. A creative soul to her core, Jeri was an artist, writer, poet, a lover of music, and a talented self-taught pianist. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was a brilliant mind who loved quantum physics and the stars; her childhood aspiration was to become an astronaut. Jeri also had the greatest sense of humor; she saw the value in laughter and hers was contagious. She was described as "energetic" and "on fire" with her faith by her pastor, Mike, of Risen Hope Church in Fairborn, which she recently became a member. She is greeted in heaven by her maternal grandparents Albert and Adeline Mattachione, paternal grandparents Noah and Zada Brewer, adoring mother Patricia Ann Mattachione-Long, endlessly supportive father Jerry Wayne Brewer, and beautiful sister-in-law Nancy Nicole Brewer. She will be forever remembered by her remarkable and amazing children Jaidon and Riley Leister, step-father James Long, step-mother Twyla Brewer, Brothers Matthew (Maria) Haynes, Lucas Brewer, Lonnie (Michelle) Lacy, sisters Melissa (Shannon) Pollock, Sara (Nathan) Wolfe, Karen (Lupe) Rodriguez, Cristina Long, Alyson (Ian) Brewer, Samantha Long, special niece Olivea (Scott) Clay, exceptional cousins Kim (Ken) Miller-Desimone and Janis Kegley, lifelong friend Stacey (Aaron) Gough, and many other loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In celebration of Jeri, a memorial service will be held Thursday, October 12th, 2017 at 7:00pm at Risen Hope Church, 302 State St, Fairborn, Ohio 45324.
