Donna V. Stackhouse

Stackhouse, Donna V. age 91 of Tampa, FL, formerly of Fairborn; died peacefully October 17, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lee in 1993, sisters: Bernice (Orson) Knisely, Freda (Frank) Jones; brothers: Benson (MaryLou) Varner, Guy (Ruth) Varner; brother-in-law Forest Stephens &; parents: Don & Addie Ellen (Conrad) Varner. She is survived by a sister: Kathryn Stephens of Yellow Springs, OH; her son: Dr. David Lee (Kathleen) Stackhouse of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 daughters: Patrice Rae (Michael) Fitzpatrick of Tampa, FL; Cynthia Rae Stackhouse of Columbus, OH; grandchildren: Raymond Joseph (Tiffany) Stackhouse of Loxahatchee, FL; Dr. Steven Michael (Cheryl) Albrechta of Powell, OH: Thomas Patrick (Paige) Albrechta of Jacksonville, FL; great-grandchildren: Madison Paige Stackhouse of Loxahatchee, FL; Brooklynn Rae & Miles Bennett Albrechta of Powell, OH &; Pruitt Ethan Albrechta of Jacksonville, FL.
Donna graduated from Bath Township High School in 1944. She graduated from White Cross Hospital in Columbus, OH (now Riverside Hospital) in 1947 and became a registered nurse. She worked as an RN at Cincinnati Bethesda Hospital and W.P.A.F.B., and also worked at Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia, OH, for 23 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Fairborn Senior Citizens and Harvard Medical Center Research Program for RN's. In Florida, she sang in the chorus, played in the Rhythm Band, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved music and singing. She was an avid reader and enjoyed creating beautiful artwork through cross stitching. She loved her family with her whole heart. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, October 27, at MORRIS SONS FUNERAL HOME, 104 W. Main St., Fairborn with burial to follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
